Graduate Students
There are several sources of employment information for graduate
students. For example, the Graduate School
provides one-stop shopping for graduate students looking for employment
information about:
- Teaching Assistant (TA) and Assistant Instructor (AI) positions including pay rates, tuition assistance, resident tuition entitlement, and medical and other insurance benefits.
- Conditions of employment for Teaching Assistant, Assistant Instructor, Graduate Research Assistant, Tutor (graduate), Academic Assistant, and Assistant (graduate) positions.
- Enhancing their teaching skills.
The Hirealonghorn Job
Bank, administered by Student Employment Referral Services
within the Office of Student Financial Services, contains part-time
job postings for on and off campus positions. Currently enrolled
and admitted students can login to the job bank using their UT EID
24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The student’s own department, and web site, is often a source of
valuable employment information. In attempting to explore all the
options, graduate students should contact other campus Colleges and
Academic Units of interest as well. Additional information about
finding a student job on campus is available from Human
Resource Services.
